Privacy Policy

Cut Gen ("we", "us") lets you preview hairstyles on your own photo using AI. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We try to keep this short and readable.

Information we collect

• Account data. When you sign in (email/password or Google), we receive your email address, name, and avatar URL. Passwords are hashed; we never see them in plain text.
• Photos you upload. Photos you submit for a hairstyle preview, plus the AI-generated outputs.
• Usage data. Credits balance, generation history, and basic billing records.
• Payment data. Stripe handles checkout. We receive a customer ID and the metadata needed to fulfil your order; we never see your card details.
• Analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and measure performance. It does not use cookies and does not identify you.

How we use it

• To run the hairstyle generation you asked for.
• To keep your credit balance and history available in your profile.
• To process payments and send transactional emails (purchase receipts, password resets).
• To detect abuse (e.g. bots, fraud) and keep the service stable.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your photos to train AI models.

AI processing

Photos are sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini) to generate the requested hairstyle. The provider processes the image to produce the output and may retain it briefly for safety/abuse review per their terms. We do not authorise the provider to use your images for training.

Storage and retention

• Generated images are stored so you can return to your history. You can delete them from your profile at any time.
• Account data is kept for as long as you have an account. Delete your account and we remove it.
• Billing records are kept for the period required by tax/accounting law.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of vendors to operate Cut Gen:

• Vercel — hosting, analytics, bot detection.
• Neon — database.
• Stripe — payments.
• Google Gemini — AI image generation.
• Resend — transactional email.
• Google OAuth — sign-in.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (EU/UK/California and others), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email us at hello@cutgen.ai and we'll handle it.

Children

Cut Gen is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the site or via email.
